Welcome to Waaia-Yalca South Primary School.  The school is located in the small settlement of Waaia, midway between the townships of Nathalia and Numurkah, and forty-five kilometres northwest of Shepparton.  The school, with a current enrolment of 26 students, was formed in 1994 as a result of the merger of Waaia Primary School and Yalca South Primary School.  It continues to serve the largely rural communities of two districts, as those schools did for more than a century.  Many of the students travel to school by bus.

  Our school places a high priority on extending each child and encouraging excellence within a caring classroom environment.  There is a strong commitment to developing in all students the skills and attitudes which enable them to be cooperative, responsible and self-disciplined workers who respect others and their individuality
